DESCRIPTION:
Tower clock, European, three train, time, strike and chime, weight driven movement, smaller or compact size, in painted wrought iron frame, circa 19th century
CONDITION:
there is light surface rust on some iron parts of the movement. The brass has been cleaned. The pendulum is a custom replacement. The Westminster train drive is complete but has no chimes, hammers or drum, which would have been another mechanism. The time and strike, train are in good condition and the time train was ticking. The striking lever which activates the hammer is bent and missing its rear mount. There are no weights. Height 21", Width 33", Depth 18"
